Getting Started

What is DivorcePath?
DivorcePath is an AI-powered platform designed to help individuals navigate the divorce process with clarity and confidence. It combines state-specific legal advice, financial analysis tools, secure document management, smart communication drafting, and emotional wellness support into a single, easy-to-use platform. Whether you are going through an amicable separation or a contested divorce, DivorcePath provides the tools and information you need to make informed decisions.
How do I create an account?
Creating an account takes less than a minute. Click the "Get Started Free" button, enter your email address and create a password, then follow the guided onboarding quiz. The quiz helps us understand your situation and state so we can personalize your experience from day one. No credit card is required for the free plan.
Is my information private and secure?
Absolutely. Security and privacy are at the core of everything we build. All data is encrypted at rest and in transit using industry-standard AES-256 encryption. We never sell your personal information to third parties, and you can delete your account and all associated data at any time. Our platform undergoes regular security audits to ensure your sensitive information stays protected.
Do I need a lawyer to use DivorcePath?
No, you do not need a lawyer to use DivorcePath. Our platform is designed to help individuals who want to be informed and empowered throughout the process, whether they have legal representation or not. However, DivorcePath is not a substitute for legal advice. For complex situations, we recommend consulting with a qualified family law attorney. Our Premium plan includes an attorney collaboration portal so your legal team can work alongside you on the platform.

AI & Technology

How does the AI work?
DivorcePath uses multiple specialized AI agents that work together to support you. The Navigator Agent analyzes your state's family law statutes to generate a personalized process roadmap. The Finance Agent models settlement scenarios and tax impacts. The Wellness Agent monitors your emotional wellbeing through journal entries. Each agent is trained on verified legal and financial information and continuously updated as laws change.
Is AI advice the same as legal advice?
No. DivorcePath provides informational guidance, not legal advice. Our AI helps you understand processes, deadlines, and general legal concepts specific to your state, but it is not a licensed attorney and cannot represent you in court. We always recommend consulting with a qualified family law attorney for decisions that could have significant legal or financial consequences.
What data is used to train the AI?
Our AI models are trained on publicly available family law statutes, court procedures, and legal reference materials from all 50 states. We do not use any personal user data to train our models. Your case information stays private and is used only to personalize your experience within the platform. We update our knowledge base regularly to reflect changes in state laws and procedures.
Can the AI make mistakes?
Like all AI systems, DivorcePath's agents can occasionally produce errors or incomplete information. That is why we include confidence indicators alongside AI responses and always encourage verification with qualified professionals for important decisions. Our models are designed to acknowledge uncertainty rather than guess, and our team continuously reviews and improves the accuracy of responses.

Pricing & Billing

Is there a free plan?
Yes! DivorcePath offers a free plan that includes basic AI legal advice, up to 5 document uploads, access to the community support forum, and a basic financial overview. It is a great way to explore the platform and understand what DivorcePath can do for you before committing to a paid plan.
Can I cancel my subscription anytime?
Absolutely. There are no long-term contracts or cancellation fees. You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. When you cancel, you retain access to your paid plan features until the end of your current billing period. After that, your account will automatically revert to the free plan and all your data will remain accessible.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover) as well as Apple Pay and Google Pay. All payments are processed securely through Stripe, and we never store your full card details on our servers.
What is your refund policy?
We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee on all paid plans. If you are not satisfied with DivorcePath within the first 14 days of your subscription, contact our support team and we will issue a full refund, no questions asked. After 14 days, we do not offer partial refunds, but you can cancel at any time to prevent future charges.

Features & Tools

What financial tools are included?
DivorcePath includes a comprehensive financial toolkit: asset and debt tracking, income analysis, budget planning, net worth calculations, and settlement scenario comparisons. Paid plans add tax impact modeling that shows you the real after-tax value of different settlement options, helping you make financially sound decisions. All financial data is presented in clear, visual dashboards.
How does document storage work?
Our Document Vault lets you upload, organize, and search all your important files in one secure location. Documents are encrypted and stored in our cloud infrastructure. The vault supports PDFs, images, and common document formats. OCR-powered search lets you find content inside scanned documents. The free plan includes up to 5 uploads, while paid plans offer unlimited document storage.
Can I share my case with my attorney or attorney?
Yes. Our Premium plan includes an attorney collaboration portal that allows you to securely invite your attorney, financial attorney, or mediator to view specific parts of your case. You control exactly what they can see, and all collaboration happens within the encrypted platform. This makes it easy to keep your professional team aligned without emailing sensitive documents back and forth.
What states are supported?
DivorcePath supports all 50 U.S. states and the District of Columbia. Our AI is trained on each jurisdiction's specific family law statutes, filing requirements, waiting periods, and procedural rules. During onboarding, you select your state and the platform automatically tailors all guidance, timelines, and document templates to your jurisdiction.
